Inspired by Nicole over at thir.st through her article, Parables designed this limited series of CNY Ang Pows for 2025.

It is in our prayer that every occasion is a chance to evangelise! Our blessings through customary red packets can also convey a blessing from our Lord at the same time. Even more awesome if the recipient asks about it and we can share our faith in the open!

万事如意

This standard Chinese New Year greeting blesses the recipient with a smooth sailing year ahead and with abundant goodness. In creating this Angpow, we hope that you first love God and follow His commandment to love others around us. The goodness we receive is a true blessing from the God who loves us dearly. We share this goodness with others when we love them through our actions and our words. In all things, God is good!

心想事成

This standard Chinese New Year greeting blesses the recipient in achieving anything which the heart desires. In creating this Angpow, we hope that you acknowledge that our blessings come from the Lord! As His creation, we see God as our Creator and our heart's deepest desire is actually to know and to love Him. When we discover that, we truly delight in the Lord's presence in our lives.

年年有余

This standard red packet Chinese New Year greeting blesses the recipient with abundance and prosperity for the year to come in Singapore. The word, "余", also sounds like "fish" in Mandarin, and so to bring this blessing into the new year, the family sets aside a cooked steamed fish at reunion dinner, to be eaten on the first day of the New Year! In creating this Ang pow or ang pao, we hope that you would trust Jesus, like the disciples did, when he says to throw your net on the right side of the boat! You will catch so much fish that it might be difficult to haul it in. Indeed, Jesus will bless you with abundance and all that you need!
